The key issue for the Peel region is the impact of the continuing high population growth in the region on the future sustainability of the region. Impacts of this high population growth include: Decreasing employment rates; increasing pressures on local environmental assets; and increasing social issues.

This report acknowledges the issues facing the Peel region and addresses the regional priorities in the Regional Plan.
