Description
Audio recordings of two presentations.
- Mary Jan Stannus looks at the collaborative role of ABC Content Services in making available the content created by the national broadcaster across the community. She also considers the factors that constrain the distribution of content such as legacy systems, intellectual property rights and preservation. This talk given at the Library in the 21st Century Symposium are available in transcript and audio.
- Mr Matthew Liebmann outlines the key findings in 'The Rise of Lifestyle Media', a recent survey of the entertainment and media sector by PricewaterhouseCoopers. He considers the impact of the convergence in media technology that enables creation, sharing and mixing of content. Convergence allows consumers to be completely passive or totally interactive. The expectations developed in this environment form the expectations of library and information services.
