Master Plan for the Arts casts a collective vision for the scene and sets out plan for year of 2014 to 2019. It is a reflection of the performing arts sector’s aspirations for their individual practice, the arts at large and at a higher level in Singapore.
This plan consolidates and builds on previous reviews and plans (such as the Report of the Advisory Council for Culture and the Arts , Renaissance City Plans and the more recent Arts and Culture Strategic Review ) in Singapore.
The objective of the plan is to put in place the foundation blocks for the sector’s next chapter of development. It outlines five focus areas for performing arts:
1, Supporting artistic creation
2, Connections within industry
3, Connecting with the audience
4, Improving research and documentation
5, Internationalisation: growing beyond our shores
