Description
The purpose of this discussion paper is to support the Australian government’s consultations for the 2020 Review (Review) of the Disability Standards for Education 2005 (the Standards).
This discussion paper explains what the Standards are and what they do, the purpose of the Review, what previous reviews told us, and how you can get involved. The paper also includes discussion questions to help the government learn about your views and experiences.
Access and participation in education supports people with disability to participate fully in society and maximise their opportunities. Positive education experiences have a profound impact on an individual’s future and can lead to further study, employment and a rewarding life.
