Description

The Aboriginal self-identification project sought to understand why Aboriginal people identify as Aboriginal when using various government services.

The project focused solely on voluntary self-identification when accessing services and comprises three phases:

  1. pre-research engagement
  2. data collection, and
  3. analysis of data gathered in phase two.

Data analysis included both content and quantitative analysis. The SPRC was contracted to undertake the data analysis in phase three.
