This Ministerial Review was promoted by longstanding reports of dysfunction with Fish and Game. It has provided an opportunity to review an organisation that has changed little since its establishment 30 years ago. 

The Review has necessarily focused on the negatives and deficiencies of the organisation since they were the impetus for the Review. However, it should be noted that there is much public good activities of Fish and Game, most notably in the area of environmental protection.
