Description

Focusing on the 2020/2021 time period, this report is to help those involved in youth justice understand system-wide trends and issues. Findings demonstrate that offending rates among children aged 10 to 13 fell by 65 percent between 2010/11 and 2020/21. Over the same period, offending rates among young people dropped by 63 percent. This means that there were 2,900 fewer children and almost 8,500 fewer 14 to 16-year-olds offending than there were 10 years ago.
