Keeping people safe from domestic and family violence
Domestic and family violence (DFV) is a complex societal problem that needs a comprehensive, coordinated approach. The complexity arises because of the mix of victims, perpetrators, types of violence, involvement of children and the sheer scale of the problem.
This report identifies opportunities for entities to integrate, coordinate and complement their DFV responses and support services to keep people safe and prevent future violence. The report highlights the need for entities to understand and assess the impacts of DFV and the necessary supports needed for a family unit. The report also stresses the need for entities and service providers within the sector to work together to effectively deal with all aspects of domestic and family violence.
