Description
The National Mental Health Commission is developing a national stigma and discrimination reduction strategy.
In their work so far, the Commission has drawn on existing research and consulted with people with direct personal lived experience, families, friends, unpaid carers and support people, researchers and industry leaders.
This draft has been released to encourage feedback from a broad range of stakeholders, including:
- people with lived experience of mental ill-health, trauma, distress or suicidality
- families, carers and support people
- people working in the services and settings of focus for the strategy, such as health professionals, social services, business owners, educators, and legal and financial services.
The public consultation process closes 1 February 2023.
