Description
VET partnerships powering a dynamic workforce is the theme for the 33rd National Vocational Education and Training Research Conference, ‘No Frills.’
In keeping with the conference’s theme, this discussion paper focuses on Australia’s workforce demands and the importance of equipping the workforce with necessary skills through targeted education, training and partnerships.
Key points
- VET partnerships are already widely recognised as mutually beneficial to all participants, and vital to training quality, student success and employer satisfaction.
- Data collected from providers, industry and communities and contained in recent research demonstrate that the value and importance of VET partnerships is understood and recognized.
Partnership activity could be promoted through the provision of resources to develop the relationship-building skills of the VET workforce and funding to establish partnerships that address specific needs.
