Description
In response to the Black Economy Taskforce’s Final Report, the former Government announced a range of measures to tackle the shadow economy including a commitment that specified Commonwealth Government procurement processes will exclude businesses that do not have a satisfactory tax record.
The Government is demonstrating best practice by ensuring businesses that provide goods and services to the Government participate with the Australian tax system by providing a satisfactory Statement of Tax Record (STR).
