This snapshot provides a summary of research in the Gippsland community about health equity. Priority communities and people experiencing hardship were provided an opportunity to share their stories. This work improves understanding of health needs among people at risk of the poorest health outcomes. 

Six key themes were identified from the analysis:

1. person-centred care
2. mental health and wellbeing
3. barriers to accessing services
4. service system challenges
5. social determinants of health
6. information gaps and technology.
