Description
The 2025–26 Budget provides an economic and financial outlook for Western Australia (WA). The Budget achieves a seventh straight operating surplus of $2.5 billion. It continues support for families, makes investments to grow the economy and make more things locally, and responds to the needs of a growing population. The Budget outlines key investments in services and infrastructure to lay the foundations for WA’s future. The Made in WA plan supports future economic growth through a pipeline of work building household batteries, ferries, electric buses and more in WA.
Key initiatives
- An additional $963 million in cost of living relief for WA families.
- $1.4 billion to boost housing supply and affordability.
- $2.7 billion to support future growth and create WA jobs.
- $1.4 billion to expand and enhance health and mental health services.
- $1.8 billion for education and training.
