Description
This paper explores the perspectives of young people from Antigua and Barbuda on digital privacy, how they want their privacy improved and their desires for policy change.
Through a mixed-methods approach, the research established guiding principles for a youth-driven framework in privacy policymaking. It also reflects the Antiguan and Barbudan Ministry of Education’s commitment to embedding youth voices into the heart of policy development.
As a case study, it exemplifies how young people can be actively engaged in shaping digital policy, offering a blueprint for participatory and inclusive governance.
This paper was presented at the18th Annual Caribbean Children Research Conference.
