These three reports provide the background to the creation of the National Teaching Workforce Dataset, and provide insights and analysis from the data collected.

Overview

The inaugural National Teacher Workforce Dataset (NTWD) was compiled by Ernst & Young using data supplied by teacher employers and registration bodies. The dataset comprises mostly teacher level data on some 440 000 individual teachers including teacher demographics, qualifications, registration status and current employment. It also includes some data items from the Staff in Australia’s Schools 2013 survey where they are not available from other sources.
