This National Policy Statement for Highly Productive Land (NPS-HPL) is about ensuring the availability of New Zealand’s most favourable soils for food and fibre production, now and for future generations. The policy provides direction to improve the way highly productive land is managed under the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA).

Aotearoa New Zealand’s first national adaptation plan contains strategies, policies and actions that will help New Zealanders adapt to the changing climate and its effects – to reduce the potential harm of climate change, as well as seize the opportunities that arise.
