This report presents findings of the latest survey of identity crime and misuse undertaken by the Australian Institute of Criminology as part of the Australian Government’s National Identity Security Strategy. Identity crime is one of the most prevalent forms of criminal activity in Australia and remains a persistent concern for many Australians.

There are a number of legislative, technical and cultural barriers that limit the free flow of information between Australia's law enforcement agencies. This report examines those barriers and develops an information sharing matrix that explains the barriers associated with different types of information sharing.

Child exploitation material (CEM) is sexually abusive images of children that are typically disseminated via the internet. This paper reviews recent literature to establish a profile of those who view or collect CEM.
