Campaspe Community Clubs Combat Climate Change project was about helping community groups understand their energy and water use at recreation reserves and what they can do about it to reduce the impacts of climate change and minimise greenhouse, energy and water costs.

Adapting to a changing climate
The project aimed to share information about the impacts of climate change across several generations of residents, developing a toolkit for use by households to identify risks to their own households and to plan actions that will mitigate those risks.

Waste to energy feasibility study
In 2015 Mount Alexander Shire Council assisted a pre-feasibility study led by the Mount Alexander Sustainability Group that investigated bio-energy opportunities across Castlemaine. This project involved the completion of building audits of three Council owned and managed buildings to review their performance, and energy use and to identify a range of actions that could be undertaken to reduce Council expenditure on energy (electricity and gas).
