This project entailed a set of overlapping research strands that together should provide State housing agencies with the evidence base to develop effective forms of intervention to address anti-social behaviour.

This paper outlines some of the key findings of two complementary research projects both of which studied intra- migration within the Australian states of New South Wales and South Australia.

Brisbane’s housing market is relatively under-researched, despite the value that can be gained from examining a residential property market operating in an environment of significant population growth through high inward interstate migration, and sustained urban building and development activity.

The research reported in this paper is situated at within a set of contemporary literatures concerning the spatial development of large urban areas, within the context of the ongoing restructuring of urban employment and housing markets.
