This report summarises key findings from field research conducted in Australia from 2012 to 2015. The report is for all those interested in the state of ‘Learning for Purpose’ and how it affects NFP organisations’ success in realising their mission and community objectives.

The focus of the report is on maximising opportunities for Australia to strengthen relationships with the countries of Asia. It finds that leveraging language, research and cultural capabilities will provide the basis for deep, long-term engagement that will return social, economic and political benefits to Australia and its partners in the region.

The Couch Surfing Secondary Students (CSSS): Yarra Ranges Youth Homelessness Prevention Project has developed out of a research partnership between Anchor Youth Services, the Outer Eastern Local Learning and Employment Network (OELLEN), Swinburne University and the University of Western Australia Centre for Social Impact.

This project explores the important relationship between the United States and Australia.

This report finds that Aboriginal people experience both illness and death from heart disease at higher rates and at a much earlier average age than non-Aboriginal people, underscoring the urgency to direct efforts ‘upstream’ towards primary prevention and earlier, community-based detection and intervention.
