Little is known about the experiences of Indigenous children in out-of-home care, or the effectiveness of existing services to support their transition to adulthood.
This study, based on focus groups and interviews with 53 representatives of government departments, NGOs and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations across Australia, examined the numbers, needs and outcomes of Indigenous care leavers, and associated program and policy supports.
