This report describes a dynamic ‘Co-creative Media System’ that is emerging. The report illustrates how this system activates the immense creative potential of the Australian population through the ongoing development and application of participatory storytelling methods and media.

The project aimed to inform the successful provision of internet infrastructure, maintenance and training in remote areas by providing detailed qualitative analysis of how households in the three communities experienced the internet.

Research undertaken by Swinburne University’s SISR between 2005 and 2013 explored impact of Youthworx, a practical, community-based, cross-sector response to the problem of youth marginalisation and social exclusion, on young people and the broader lessons for debates on social innovation, community media and creative economies, informal learning, opportunity and enterprise.
