The primary objective of this annual report is to meet the requirements under section 127 of the Australian Education Act 2013 (the Act). The report provides a brief overview of the current funding arrangements for schools and the type of financial assistance provided by the Australian Government.

The Better and Fairer Schools (Funding and Reform) Bill amends the Australian Education Act 2013 to change the Commonwealth’s contribution to funding for government schools.
