The main proposition behind the 'degrowth' movement is that economic growth is causing irreversible and irreparable harm to the planet, to the detriment of future generations and potentially risking human civilisation. This paper reviews the arguments for degrowth and then dissects them, addressing several myths which appear to drive this call.

Over three years, BehaviourWorks undertook two major streams of research to understand what ‘circular consumption’ behaviours are required to significantly reduce Australia’s material footprint, as part of transitioning to a circular economy. The work revealed that eight core circular behaviours can be adopted by consumers to help reduce Australia’s material footprint.

This report recognises that any successful implementation of a UK green industrial strategy will require a coordinated set of policy instruments, particularly those providing financing for investments in net-zero economic activities.
