This report provides details of a mobile telecommunications performance study carried out in First Nations communities and towns in regional and remote Western Australia, Queensland and New South Wales.

Based on 44 surveys and 13 interviews with residents and stakeholders, this report outlines the findings from the researchers' initial 2022 visit, and highlights the current access and use of media, communications and online services and the digital inclusion challenges in Tennant Creek and across the Barkly region.

This report is intended to assist TSIMA, TSIRC and community agencies to better understand the key barriers to digital inclusion in Erub, assist in identifying communications infrastructure and program needs, and support planning and advocacy with government and industry stakeholders.

In this report, the authors conclude that an entirely new, comprehensive Ombudsman scheme for digital platform complaints is not a viable option, despite the obvious appeal of a one-stop-shop for complainants.
