An annual report that measures the impact that organisations with Reconciliation Action Plans (RAPs) are having across Australia. Every RAP drives change through three core pillars: Relationships, Respect and Opportunities. The report shows the RAP program is expanding and many RAP organisations are deepening their impact through strong governance and accountability.

Paramedics’ understandings and perceptions of cultural safety and the provision of culturally safe care

This article reports on qualitative research into paramedics' understanding of culturally safe care, which is thought to assist in improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Findings suggest that paramedic practice may not be underpinned by the principles of cultural safety, calling into question the provision of culturally safe care.

The Blak Women’s Healing Project

The project set out to understand and support Aboriginal women living in Melbourne’s west whose families had negative encounters with child protection services. The findings demonstrate that cultural healing and projects like the Blak Women’s Healing project are central to better understanding and supporting the healing and resilience of Aboriginal communities.

This article reports on a systematic review of the literature on factors influencing resilience in school age (5–19 years) Australian First Nations populations. It describes how resilience is defined and operationalised and how factors influencing resilience map onto the Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) model. This information can facilitate evidence-based recommendations for policy, interventions and programs.
