Education inequity is a problem in Australia. The authors of this paper argue that we need to re-think what counts as ‘success.’

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university students are enrolling in university degrees at historically high rates. However, the majority of these students are not completing their qualifications. This research investigates the enrolment-completion gap and questioned what supports are available to Indigenous undergraduate students, and how likely they are to access them.

Students who are disengaged from learning are at high risk of leaving school early. The Navigator program is designed to support Victoria’s most disengaged students aged 12–17 years. This audit report examines whether the Navigator program is effectively re-engaging students in education.

This report analyses relevant legal and policy frameworks relating to the education of students with disability, with a focus on primary and secondary school settings across Australia.

Australians who care for people with a disability, illness, or a broader need often embody many of the qualities sought by universities. The purpose of this research project was to establish the first major evidence base for analysing student carers in Australian higher education.
