The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions is committed to increasing gender diversity in its workforce, particularly in our fire management business, where the number of women involved has been traditionally low. This plan describes the objectives, priorities and actions to help achieve the vision.

Insights into hardship and disadvantage in Perth, Western Australia: the 100 Families WA baseline report
The 100 Families WA project seeks to build a deep, rich understanding of entrenched disadvantage in Western Australia. This report presents the results of the baseline survey, which examined a number of key domains, including family and household composition, income, material deprivation, social and personal connections, health status, employment status and mental health outcomes.

Better together: supporting perinatal and infant mental health services
This project maps how services in the cities of Wanneroo/Joondalup interact to enhance the quality of perinatal and infant mental health services. The project aims to improve the system's responsiveness to the social wellbeing and mental health needs of families with infants and young children, from both prevention and intervention perspectives.

A framework for developing mine-site completion criteria in Western Australia: project report
This report outlines environmental criteria that mine operators can use to demonstrate they have successfully and sustainably rehabilitated their site after mining. While the new guidance primarily targets the resources sector, other industries can potentially use the guidance when undertaking ecological restoration.

Fraud prevention in local government
This audit found that many local governments have not assessed their fraud risks, and do not have comprehensive fraud management plans and programs. Most could do more to educate their staff on integrity polices and controls to reinforce anti-fraud messages and consider fraud risks in their daily duties.
