This report reviews the Cashless Debit Card Trial and evaluation focussing primarily on the Final Evaluation Report released by the Australian Government in September 2017. The Evaluation by Orima Research, is intended to evaluate the Trial in the first two trial sites of Ceduna, South Australia and in East Kimberley, Western Australia.

The WAPC has endorsed a draft update to the Guidelines for the Lifting of Urban Deferment - that specify requirements for a transfer of land from the urban deferred to urban zone in a region planning scheme. The draft guidelines are open for public comment until 29 Sep 2017.

This report argues that the energy sector is changing rapidly globally and nationally; and that Western Australia needs a plan to navigate its way through these changes and towards a sustainable and affordable energy future.

This report has been prepared following an inspection of Casuarina Prison, conducted in late 2016. It concludes that the prison is meeting reasonable expectations in relation to security and the safety of staff and prisoners. However, it is over-stretched at almost every point.
