Victoria’s growing population is increasing pressure on the transport network. The Victorian Cycling Strategy 2018-28 aims to increase the number, frequency and diversity of Victorians cycling for transport, which includes commuter and local trips.

It will do this by:

• Investing in a safer, lower stress, better connected cycling network, prioritising strategic cycling corridors
• Making cycling a more inclusive experience

Getting more people to cycle for transport will take pressure off our roads and public transport, create more vibrant neighbourhoods and deliver significant health and wellbeing benefits.

The strategy will guide planning and investment in cycling in Victoria for the next decade.
