This paper outlines the proposed operation of the planned new Centres of Excellence round.

The ARC is considering changes to a number of aspects of the previous operation and seeks feedback from our stakeholders on the specific issues outlined, including proposals to:

• increase the life-span of the centres from five to seven years; and

• increase the minimum allocation to $1 million and the maximum to $4 million per annum to each successful Centre.
