The survey was carried out by the Australian National University, with over 5,000 Solomon Islanders taking part. The findings have been released as the Solomon Islands government begins a review of the Facilitation Act allowing RAMSI's presence.
The People’s Survey was conceived as one of the components of the RAMSI Performance Framework that would provide indicators for measuring country-level and program-level objectives and outcomes (RAMSI, 2005). It was envisaged that the survey would be conducted annually, and would be a voluntary questionnaire-based representative sample survey of a cross-section of the Solomon Islands population, taking into account age, education, gender, income level and geographic location.
The survey was conducted by the Australian National University for RAMSI.
