Discussion paper
Description
The Australian Government is highlighting the costs of climate action as estimated in a new economic modelling study. The study, by coal industry consultants BAEconomics, is not transparent and relies on unrealistic assumptions. This study is an outlier in the large literature on economic costs of climate policy. It should not be relied on for policy making purposes.
