This committee reviewed the operation, effectiveness and implications of Division 3 of Part III in the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation Act 1979. The sunset clause for this provision comes into operation on 22 July 2006. This report is intended to inform the reintroduction of the Act next year prior to the sunset clause.
