|Commonwealth Government response to the Comprehensive Review of the Legal Framework of the National Intelligence Community||1.08 MB|
On 30 May 2018, the Attorney-General announced that the Australian government had commissioned a comprehensive review of the legal framework governing the National Intelligence Community, to be undertaken by Mr Dennis Richardson AC.
The review comprehensively examined the effectiveness of the legislative framework governing the National Intelligence Community and prepared findings and recommendations for reforms.
Upon completion, a classified and an unclassified report were provided to the Australian government. On 4 December 2020, the Morrison Government released this unclassified version, as well as the government's response.
This review has also been referred to as the Richardson Review.
