Description
The performance of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) regarding transparency is not currently meeting its potential.
In August 2010, selected faculty and researchers at the Berkman Center for Internet; Society Harvard University (referred to as the “Berkman team”) initiated an independent, exploratory study analysing ICANN’s decision-making processes and communications with its stakeholders.
The study focused on developing a framework and recommendations for understanding and improving ICANN’s accountability and transparency.
