Description
This paper considers interest rate caps, what is known about their use and impact in other jurisdictions (including Australia, the UK, the US and Canada), and how might they contribute to a fairer consumer credit regime in New Zealand. It is part of a larger project examining issues around high-cost lending in New Zealand.
