Coastal shipping is included as an independent activity class in the 2021-24 Government Policy Statement on Land Transport. This report is the first of three to assist Waka Kotahi on how best to invest the funding that has been allocated and to provide Waka Kotahi with an up-to-date view of the sector’s shape and its key challenges and opportunities.
