This paper explores the potential of Generative AI (GenAI) powered by large language models for intelligence tasks involving unstructured data. It looks at potential areas for cooperation, including:
- ethical and analytic standards for the use of AI systems
- findings from AI testing and evaluation programs
- best practices in the management of human-machine teams
- piloting the use of AI to tackle discrete intelligence analysis problems.
Recommendations
- Design for continuous AI model improvements.
- Insist on automating portions of the analytic workflow.
- Build human-machine analytic teams.
- Create AI-ready training and incentive structures for the analytic workforce.
