This report provides data on cases presenting to Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) members in the period July to December 2024, including the type of advocacy or information provided, referral source and the top advocacy issues. Service delivery and accessing aged care remained the y concerns, consistent with the previous year.
Selected findings
- OPAN members delivered just over 24,000 instances of advocacy and information services to older people in the reporting period, a 12% increase on the same period in the previous year and a service reach of 1.8% of the aged care client population.
- Information provision accounted for 74% of services and advocacy for 26%.
- Home Care Packages are the most common program seen in advocacy and information provision cases.
