Description
Finding employment is empowering. It can build independence, skills and relationships. Sometimes though, it can be hard to know what kind of job you would like to do, or if your employer is inclusive of people with disability. This guide is to help young people with a disability get started in finding a job.
The guide covers:
- starting your job search
- what job is right for me?
- where to look for jobs
- how to identify disability friendly employers.
CYDA's DREAM Employment Network bridges the gap between young people with disability who want to work, and forward-thinking employers who recognise that diversity fosters creativity, innovation, and success. The aim of the Network is to build leadership skills, inclusive employment pathways, and opportunities for leadership positions for young people with disability.
