The delivery of appropriate care for people with more severe psychogeriatric disorders that result in behaviours that place either themselves or others at risk is a significant challenge. This report highlights the fact that the best care outcomes for people with psychogeriatric disorders are achieved where there is effective integration and cooperation across sectors. Collaborative networks across the primary health, mental health and aged care service sectors are critical.
