This report endeavours to reconcile the different public interest considerations which apply in identifying what reporting and public statement powers would appropriately be conferred on the Queensland Crime and Corruption Commission. The Queensland Government aims to halve the number of children and young people living in residential care, see more cared for by kin or foster carers, improve culturally-led and early intervention support, and reduce the disproportionate representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people in care.
