Three research projects funded by VCCCAR were selected to study research-to-policy interventions that might better facilitate the use of their respective results. These case studies were selected because they had progressed to a point that aligned with the time table of our “Research-to-Policy” project and they were amenable to interventions that might facilitate knowledge use.

The aims of this review are to examine the literature on research-into-policy and identify recent developments in research supply, policy demand and the research–policy environment overall; review best practice research-into-policy activities in a range of policy-influencing organisations; develop a work in progress to inform the next stages of the Research–Policy Project.
