This report explores the role of commercial shared mobility services in supporting the needs of major trip generators, using inner-urban Adelaide as a case study.

Urban mobility options have substantially increased in recent years, enabled by the widespread availability of smart device software Apps, geo-positioning technology, and the ease of electronic financial transactions. The questions from these surveys capture the participants’ travel patterns and their use of public places along with their play habits. The concept of ecological psychology, namely affordances, behaviour settings and accessibility, provides the framework for analysis.
