This report provides insights into conducting research around intellectual disability with First Nations people in ways that are culturally safe and appropriate. It highlights the difference between First Nations and white and Western approaches to intellectual disability, and the need to have First Nations people and communities involved as researchers and stakeholders at every point.

This article describes a set of guiding principles for genuine co-design with children and young people with disability in Australia. Based on insights from autoethnographic reflections, four relationally driven guiding principles for genuine co-design are developed: personalised, holistic, reflexive and inclusive.

This narrative review discusses the value of inclusive research which involves collaboration with people with intellectual disability.
