The purpose of the project was to create clarity around what is needed for disability representative and carer organisations, disability advocacy organisations and other consumer-led and disability capacity strengthening organisations. To be able to be meaningfully involved in disability, involvement of these organisations is crucial across the research continuum.

This study evaluates participant‑led videos (PLVs) as a co‑designed tool to improve disability support quality. After a one‑day training workshop, sector professionals confidently produce PLVs with participants. Findings show PLVs centre participant voice, reduce misrepresentation, support autonomy and offer a feasible, scalable approach warranting further investment and outcome research.

This scoping review examines how and when co‑design is used with adults with acquired neurological disability and their lived experience. It finds co‑design remains under‑researched and underutilised, yet is meaningful, supporting participation, connection, belonging and learning. Future work should better define co‑design and invest in facilitation roles.

Proceedings of an event that brought together people with disability, advocates, policymakers, researchers, and leaders from the sector. The event, comprising short talks and group discussions, built on ideas from earlier events that focus on research led by people with disability, based on real experiences, and aimed at making a difference in policy and practice.

This video recording is of an event exploring how research led by and with people with disability can be mobilised to influence real change in policy and practice. Key themes include how research leads to impact, best practice in sharing research accessibly and meaningfully, and collaboration between researchers, policymakers, advocates and service providers.
