Truth in political advertising (TiPA) laws seek to protect the integrity of the electoral process from the growing threat of disinformation. This interim report examines the effect, operation, and administration of existing laws as well as the perceived impact in areas where they are not yet in place.

This submission provides results from an in-depth study on political participation, literacy, and media engagement among Chinese and South Asian communities in Australia. A democracy voucher model of public funding would better meet the stated objectives behind the change, while also providing for fairer elections and empowering South Australian voters.
