Motivating students to achieve is one of the major challenges teachers face in the classroom. Teachers provide their students with a plethora of learning opportunities in the hope of spurring enthusiasm, sparking curiosity and capturing and inspiring interest to pursue goals for their future aspirations.

This community and industry consultation report has been prepared by IEAA, as deliverable six in the project Data Stocktake and Data Gaps Analysis (2017/08a) under the Australian International Education: Enabling Growth and Innovation programme. This project sought to gain a provider perspective of the current state of play in international education data.

The Fellowship research sought to better understand how accountability for performance against equity policy goals and funding operates across the Australian higher education system.

This document seeks to make a contribution to the field through crystallising key positions and taking a stance in ongoing conversations that consider how we measure quality in creative practice research.

This inquiry examined teachers and teaching, including the importance of ongoing teacher education, ‘measurements of gain’ in schools, government programs designed to support young people to gain the skills and work experience they need to get and keep a job and particular issues facing students with a disability.
