This report argues that Victoria is not producing enough science, technology, engineering & mathematics (STEM) professionals to meet current or future needs. It calls on the Government to enhance the status of science in school curriculums and build on initiatives that encourage greater participation and diversity in STEM-related fields.

NAPLAN 2024: national results commentaries


Student performance across Australia has remained broadly stable compared to 2023 according to the data released by the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority in the 2024 NAPLAN national results. Results show divisions between genders, Indigenous and non-Indigenous students and between students of varying socioeconomic backgrounds.
